What is the South Shore Reading Council?
The South Shore Reading Council is a professional, non-profit organization devoted to the improvement of literacy instruction at all levels and with the preparation and growth of literacy educators.
The SSRC is one of eleven Massachusetts councils serving the Southern region of Massachusetts affiliated with the Massachusetts Reading Association (MRA) and the International Literacy Association (ILA.)
The SSRC also advocates for literacy initiatives at state and local levels.
